This morning the Yellowstone County Commissioners approved their C-PACE District! This decision is fantastic news for economic development in the county. We at the MFFA extend our appreciation to former Senator Mary McNally for her enduring support, Big Sky EDA, Northern Plains Resource Council, the Downtown Billings Alliance, the many businesses who came out in support of the program, and last (but certainly not least) the Yellowstone County Commissioners for their dedication to the businesses they serve and and the people of Yellowstone County. Thank you all for your support. We will do amazing things together.

  • 17 May 2022 - RIP Aart Dolman - 1933-2022
I and the members of Citizens for Clean Energy (CCE) lost a great friend, Aart Dolman, this past week. Aart’s endless energy and enthusiasm for leaving the world a better place always amazed me. Aart would keep his friends at CCE aware of all the clean energy installations he saw when he visited family and friends in Europe. Aart’s history background allowed him to help us find solutions to challenges to keep our environment clean like standing up and successfully opposing a proposed coal plant in the Great Falls area.

Aart was always stepping forward to help his community; I remain in awe of his dedication, and we’ll miss his inspiration.

Climate Advocacy Training on Sunday March 14, 3 – 5 pm led by Citizens’ Climate Lobby leaders in Montana. Participants will learn positive techniques to build public and Congressional will for climate solutions.

With the new administration, it looks like there may be a rare window of opportunity this year for climate legislation on the federal level! Citizens’ Climate’s consistently respectful, non-partisan approach is designed to create a broad, sustainable foundation for climate action across all geographic regions and political inclinations. By focusing on shared values rather than partisan divides, we empower our supporters to work towards the adoption of fair, effective, and economically viable climate change policies. The workshop is free and all are welcome to attend.
