FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

The City of Great Falls’ Public Works Department is partnering with Veolia North America to host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. This event is free to the public and will be held on April 12th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of 1st St. S and 3rd Ave. S.
The purpose of this event is to ensure the safe and compliant management and disposal of household chemicals and hazardous waste for the residents of Great Falls. Examples of acceptable waste at this event are antifreeze, gasoline, lighter fluid, paint thinner, road flares, shellac, fertilizer, pesticides, furniture polish, insect spray, disinfectants, hair color remover, nail polish, and more. Latex based paint products, mercury products, and waste from commercial businesses will not be accepted at this event.

The public is needed to make a showing tomorrow - March 31 - at 2 p.m. at the Family Living Center at the Fairgrounds.

Our election system is in trouble with the new County Clerk & Recorder - Ms. Merchant doesn’t seem to understand the position and what she needs to do.
